Wow! Four months sure have flown by!! Yesterday we went for his 4 month check-up and he weighs 13 lbs and 9 oz (50th %ile) and is 25 inches long (75th %ile)! He is going to be a tall boy! :) He has also accomplished a lot within the past few days... Thursday night (Oct. 28th) he had his first bowl of rice cereal!! He wasn't too sure about it at first, but he ate it all!! Then, Friday at the doctor's office he rolled over twice from his back to his belly!! That was his first time rolling over!! AND his first tooth is just starting to make it's debut.. not poking through yet, but it's barely visable and you can feel it!! That is why he has been drooling so much and gnawing on his fingers! LOL... He also has started laughing! It is far and few between, but we take what we can get.. :o)
We are working on moving some more things over to the Pine Mountain house this weekend, so hopefully Carter will be able to sleep in his own nursery by next week!! We will see... I can't wait to be living out of ONE house, however, I will definately miss being so close to his doctor, the hospital, any type of civilization (haha..), stores, etc.. Such is life. We are almost finished with the inside of James's house and next tax return we will be working on the outside of the house. I can't wait until it's all done!! For now, the house looks like a dump/construction zone! One of these days we will be living in one house, have no remodeling to do, living by the lake (both James and I would LOVE this), etc. It's ok to dream, right?!
Any way.. off to cleaning, feeding, packing, etc... like the song says, "what a beautiful mess I'm in"...

Remembering...
This past weekend we traveled to Rutledge, GA to attend Remember the Sunshine weekend at Camp Twin Lakes (a camp for families who've lost a child to cancer). We packed up, what seemed to be, our whole house just for a two night stay! This was the first camp function that Carter has been to and I was excited to be able to show him around his Aunt Stephanie's favorite place on earth. As I walked around pushing him in his stroller, I listened to the laughter in the air, felt the warmth of fellowship, and the love of those who've lost... reliving the joy of Stephanie's life. It was very emotional for me to take him out there because Stephanie was not there to show him around and show him off to everyone. Since the day he was born I have seen Stephanie in his eyes.. I see the same sparkle in his eyes that was in hers. As I sat and listened to all of the grieving parents tell their stories of their child who lost their battle with cancer, I caught myself wondering, "how do they do it?"... The parents that were out there this weekend with us, along with the families, are the strongest group of people I know. Needless to say, it was a very emotional weekend and I struggled not to cry every second I was out there... it is a very special place and truly is 'heaven on earth'... I am so honored to be apart of Camp Sunshine and I know that Carter will one day be honored to have such an angel of an aunt... his Aunt Stephanie.

Carter's Aunt Stephanie and baby Emma (5 years ago)...
See Carter, your Aunt Stephanie held you just like this in Heaven before you came into our world! I know she loves you beyond belief and I know the day we all meet again will be a beautiful day!
