7 months old!!!

Seven months have come and gone! We have been some busy bees here lately, hence why I haven't updated yet! :)  But Carter is doing awesome! He has had his first 6 oz of plain water, started eating his first solid food (besides baby food) which was crackers, still has no teeth, starting to grow a bit more hair, and is now doing the 'army crawl'.  He is trying with all of his might to start crawling, but for now the 'army crawl' will suffice.  He LOVES running around in his walker! He thinks he is king of the world in it!  He is still babbling and razzing, now specific words yet.  Although, I swear he says "hey" sometimes.  His toes are his favorite chew toy still and he is so alert and eager to learn what everything is, does, or says.  The newest trick that he loves to show off is being able to hold his bottle with one hand.  7:00-7:30 is still his bedtime and he will sleep all night (he has since he was about 3 months old).  I just measured him with a tape measure and he is about 28 inches long and about 17-19 pounds.  His next check up is in March.  Daddy loves spending time with him in the mornings after I leave.  They sit on the couch and 'chill' for about 30 mins. and then he ususally plays in his exersaucer until it's time to go.

We recently took him to Callaway Gardens and FDR State Park and he enjoyed both places! He really loved the ducks that swam up to us at FDR.  He kept saying, "uuuhhh?" Which sounded like 'duck' to me.  He is still a very happy baby and I swear he is going to either be a soccer player or a kicker on a football team because he kicks his foot (mainly his right one) while he has a bottle.  It is too funny!

He is such a blessing and a joy to be around and we are thankful for every minute of every day to have him in our lives.  Here are some videos and pictures from the past month...

  1. He is so happy! Love all the pictures & videos you post! I still have a TON of stuff I need to get to you...I'm worried he'll be in high school before I find the time to head south on 85! :) Thanks for posting--makes me remember Noah when he was a little guy and how he felt just snuggling in my arms. He still likes to snuggle, it's just now he's about 1/2 my size (seriously. I'm not kidding. He's very tall and I'm very short.).
